Help inspire the next generation of Earth Scientists
The Big Jurassic Classroom is a wide ranging collection of services for schools including teacher training and CPD, talks and workshops and guided walks. The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site Team is hosted by Dorset County Council and based in the Environment directorate. The Team encompasses a wide range of roles from conservation, planning and education to ensure that the Jurassic Coast becomes a vibrant strand of life for all residents, including children
and young people in Dorset.
As a world famous learning resource for the natural sciences, we work in partnership with Dorset schools to ensure that they are able to use the Jurassic Coast effectively in teaching and learning, inside and outside of the classroom. Our education service supports the delivery of the Dorset Children and Young People’s Plan and Every Child Matters outcomes to ensure that we inspire a generation of children and young people to love where they live
