Helping schools to be prepared

The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the School's Financial Value Standard (SFVS) have raised the profile of, and need for, emergency planning and business continuity management. Being audited by Dorset County Council’s Emergency Planning Service will help you to fulfil your requirements under the SFVS.

The Emergency Planning Team can take your school through the steps building a 'Schools Emergency Plan' by identifying threats, planning how to respond to them, training staff and support with post incident recovery.

In an uncertain and ever-changing world, is your school sufficiently prepared and can you afford not to be resilient?

Why should you use this service?
