ACT for Well-Being - 3 Days

A course for you as staff to focus on your own emotional health and well-being

Outline

The importance of staff well-being in education as in health and care professions is increasingly recognised.
Dorset Educational Psychology Service is now offering a well-evidenced intervention for improving staff well-being based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
ACT is a therapeutic model used by psychologists and therapists across the world to bring about positive change for people.

Description

The course introduces you to this staff well-being intervention. It is delivered by two Educational Psychologists and is designed to be fun, engaging and personally and professionally useful.
The course is helpful both for those experiencing stress and anxiety and for those who are interested in improving their well-being more generally.

  • Learn Mindfulness skills
  • Develop effectiveness strategies to help you cope with, and be less controlled by unwanted or unhelpful thoughts and feelings
