LSCB Child Criminal Exploitation - County Lines

Outline

Half day training for multi-agency professionals to develop their awareness and knowledge in working with child criminal exploitation

Description

  • Gain a good understanding of the term county line gangs, Child Exploitation and Trafficking
  • Be able to identify signs, including early signs of a young person who is involved in county line gangs and exploitation
  • Recognise early intervention and indicators and reasons why young people get involved in county line gangs
  • Understanding of the grooming process and the different stages of recruitment
  • Child Sexual Exploitation and what girls roles are in gangs
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Approach and the understanding of challenging behaviours
  • A better awareness on how to support young people who are victims of child/sexual and criminal exploitation
  • Understanding of contextual safeguarding and mapping
  • Highlighting a better understanding of the importance of multi-agency work and how linking together and sharing information can lead to better outcomes
