PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR STAFF WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED ELSA TRAINING

Half-termly group supervision with other ELSA colleagues within the locality area of the school for the academic year facilitated by at least one educational psychologist using a solution focused approach.

Description

Group supervision:
  • ensures Safeguarding is at the forefront of any work supporting ELSAs to apply safer working practices
  • ensures that ELSAs are reminded of the fidelity of the intervention and developmental psychology
  • provides ELSAs with an opportunity to problem solve with colleagues working in similar situations and contexts
  • provides ELSAs with an opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings about complex cases within a safe environment to maintain positive relationships in their day to day work

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR STAFF WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED ELSA TRAINING

Dates & venues for the groups will be established collaboratively with the ELSA group and the respective EPs and circulated at the beginning of the Autumn Term, therefore to ensure you are allocated a local group please ensure your place is booked before the beginning of September. Late bookings cannot be guaranteed to be allocated a local supervision group.

Audience

TAs who have have successfully completed the 6 day ELSA Training course and 4 subsequent supervision sessions.
