This course is for anyone who is involved in the recruitment of staff who will be working with children and/or young people and anyone who is involved in the creation or review of policies and/or procedures around the recruitment/reporting processes and who has attended the full day Safer Recruitment course in the last three years.

This course will give participants an opportunity to refresh and update their knowledge of safer recruitment practice.
By the end of the course participants will have:
Shared their experiences of conducting interviews Had the opportunity to share their safeguarding concerns relating to recruitment Recapped on sexually abusive behaviour and grooming Explored what makes a good safeguarding culture in the workplace Refreshed their knowledge of safer working practices Refreshed their knowledge of HR legislation relating to Safer Recruitment
If you have not previously attended Safer Recruitment training you should book onto the full day course.
Course bookings must be cancelled via CPD on-line (or Nexus for Dorset Schools and Early Years) at least four weeks before the course to avoid a cancellation charge. A delegate has a 48 hour cooling off period in which to cancel their booking without being subject to a cancellation charge. If a cancellation is not made within 48 hours of booking then the full course fee will be payable if cancelled within the 28 day period prior to the course start date.
For Nexus users, once a booking is made it is classed as a reserved place and is therefore subject to a cancellation charge regardless of whether the place has been ‘checked out’. Delegates are advised to get managers’ authorisation prior to making an application for a place on Nexus.
Anyone involved in the recruitment of staff who has previoulsy attend the full day Safer Recruitment course (in the last three years) and needs to refresh their knowledge.
