The Laurel Trust support and work in partnership with collaborations/networks of primary schools, early years and special education settings. Their core purpose is to support schools in areas of deprivation in order to improve progress and outcomes for children.
They do this by supporting research and innovation projects which focus on reducing disadvantage and securing greater equity.
Grants are offered annually for creative projects which will make a difference to the quality of learning and lead to improved pupil achievement. The intended projects must be sustainable and suitable for wider dissemination to support the school-led system.
The focus this year is on research/innovation projects which support vulnerable children to thrive and succeed.
